Slovan loses 3:0 at Slavia Prague after a good performance
Prague/Liberec - Before the national team break, Slovan went to Slavia in Prague. From the opening minute it was Slavia who dictated the pace of the match. The result of their pressure came in the 15th minute, when Jurečka managed to score from a penalty. Liberec was more active after that, but could not force their way through. Luka Kulenovic came closest when he hit the crossbar after a pass from Mikula. At the end Slavia scored two more goals and won by 3:0.
Slovan won 1:0 against Karviná, Rabusic scored from the penalty spot
Liberec - In the 24th round of FORTUNA:LIGA, Slovan welcomed Karviná. Slovan started the match more actively, but they didn´t get to the end for a long time. Neither did Karviná and the first half ended in a 0:0 draw. Even after the break Slovan was the team that determined the match, but they could not score for a long time. The breakthrough came in the 84th minute when a penalty kick was awarded after a handball in the Karviná penalty area. Michael Rabušic took the penalty kick and with a ground shot, Slovan managed to win 1:0.
Slovan loses 2:0 in Teplice
Teplice/Liberec - Luboš Kozel´s men finished the English week with a match at Teplice. In the first half they started more actively, but Teplice were twice successful when Yasser and Fila scored. After the break Slovan was more active again, but didn´t get any significant threat to the goal, just like Teplice players. The match ended with the home team winning 2:0.
Slovan finishes in the Cup quarterfinals, losing to Zlín 1:2 in overtime
Zlín/Liberec - Luboš Kozel´s team played in the quarterfinals of the Czech Cup. However, the first half did not go well and after a quick goal and a red card for Doumbia the team had a difficult task ahead of them. Nine minutes before the end, Pourzitidis gave hope for success. After a 1-1 draw in regulation time, extra time followed, but Liberec quickly conceded another goal and was unable to turn the result around. They had to say goodbye to the Cup after a 1:2 defeat to Zlín.
62. Podještěd derby offered six goals, Slovan drew with Jablonec 3:3
Liberec - As part of the 62. Podještěd derby, Slovan welcomed their rivals from Jablonec. The match, associated with blood donation and subtitled "Derby down to blood", kicked off at Stadion u Nisy at 15:00. Jablonec entered the match better, taking a 1-0 lead after a 13th minute penalty. Despite Liberec´s best efforts, this situation lasted until the end of the half. Jablonec players also entered the second act better. After an own goal by Mikula they were already leading 2:0. Rabušic gave hope with a penalty, but immediately after the kick-off the score was again two goals down. The whole stadium was chasing the Liberec players for an equaliser, which finally came. First Preisler reduced the deficit and then Chaluš equalised. The match ended in a 3:3 draw.
Slovan failed to catch the start of the second half and suffered a close 1:2 defeat to Sparta
Prague/Liberec - Lubos Kozel´s team wanted to take advantage of the big rotation in the Sparta lineup, which they resorted to after Thursday´s Europa League match. However, after the break they scored two quick goals from Haraslín and Olatunji. Substitute Horský restored Slovan´s hope, but unfortunately the equalizer did not come from the final pressure.
Slovan beat Olomouc 2:0, Penner and Horský scored
Liberec - League football has returned after a break of almost two months. Lubos Kozel´s team welcomed Sigma Olomouc. Slovan was more active in the first half and determined the course of the match. Olaf Kok, a debutant in the starting line-up, had the best chance. However, he didn´t convert it and the score before the break was 0:0. Slovan continued to be active and went for the win. Penner opened the scoring, the best scorer of the preparation, confirmed his form. In the end, Horský added another goal. Both players scored their first league goal and decided that Liberec defeated Olomouc 2:0.
Update: Our timetable for the winter break
Liberec - The players of FC Slovan Liberec are in the winter break. However, the time off is not particularly long, as preparations for the second half of the season begin on 3rd January 2024. Practice matches against Legnica and Jihlava as well as a training camp in Turkey are planned.
Slovan supports the position of ECA
L i b e r e c - FC Slovan Liberec as a member club supports the position of the European Club Association (ECA) on the judgment of the European Court of Justice in the ESL case and together with other clubs intends to continue to defend the values on which European football is based.
Slovan lost to Pardubice 0:2 in the last game of the year
Liberec/Pardubice - Slovan visited the new stadium in Pardubice in the last game of the year. In the first half, Pardubice players were the first to score when Zlatohlavek netted in the 12th minute. Slovan players were more active after that, but they didn´t manage to score a goal before the break. In the 67th minute, Daněk made it easier for Pardubice by increasing the score to 2:0. Despite the final pressure and a lot of shots, Slovan couldn´t make it through and went back home without a point.
