Slovan showed a fierce performance and beat Sparta 2:1 in the first round!
Praha/Liberec - Slovan footballers entered the new FORTUNA:LIGA season victorious, beating Sparta 2:1. They were on their way and already in the 20th minute they were leading 2:0. The Prague team managed to get back on track in the second half, but despite great catching by Vliegen, they only managed to score once and only adjusted the score to the final 1:2.
Pavel Marek will be the new director of the club
Liberec - The outgoing Libor Kleibl will be replaced as director of FC Slovan Liberec by Pavel Marek, a long-time member of the club´s executive board.
A-team is already training in Liberec, Matyáš Kozák also joined

Talented Ukrainian midfielder Ivan Varfolomeyev joins Slovan
Liberec - The 18-year-old midfielder comes from Ruch Lvov, with whom he won the top Ukrainian competition in the under-19 category. Despite his young age, he has already joined the local A-team in the Ukrainian Premier League and made his first starts among adults. He has also been through the youth national teams of Ukraine. At the end of last season he was already training in Liberec.
Libor Kleibl to quit as club director for personal reasons
Liberec - After twenty years in office, during which the club has achieved a number of successes, both in domestic competitions and on the international stage, Ing. Libor Kleibl will leave his position as director of Slovan Liberec in September this year.
Slovan said goodbye to the football season with a 0:2 defeat against Sigma
Liberec - Slovan played a rematch of the semifinal match of the Group for placement. Slovan had to make up a one-goal deficit from the first game against Sigma. However, in the home match, the Liberec players could not assert themselves and lost 0:2. Thanks to the win of Mladá Boleslav against České Budějovice, they finished in 9th place.
Slovan fell at Hana 0:1
Olomouc/Liberec - Coach Kozel´s squad went on another long journey, this time to Hana, where they fought with the home team Sigma Olomouc in the group for a place in the extra-curricular part. The match was accompanied by very April weather. The second half was even interrupted for ten minutes due to a cloudburst accompanied by hail. Except for the final pressure, Slovan pulled the short end of the rope and returned to Liberec with the narrowest possible defeat 0:1 after a 17th minute goal by the home team´s Chytil.
Slovan lost in Uherské Hradiště 0:2. Both Slovácko goals came from penalty kicks
Uherské Hradiště/Liberec - In the thirtieth round, i.e. the last round of the FORTUNA:LIGA regular season, coach Kozel´s men went on a long journey to Uherské Hradiště, where they met the fourth team in the league table - Slovácko. The fate of the match was decided by penalties in the 40th and 62nd minutes. Both were scored by Václav Jurečka. Slovan failed to score despite the final pressure and returned to Liberec with a 0:2 defeat.
