Commentary
After medical problems in squad, our team wanted to confirm good performance from match against Karabach. Our opponent was greek team PAOK.
After just one minute, our team took the lead, when Nikolai Komlichenko tap in Sýkora´s perfect cross! Very good start of match continued with Hovorka´s header. After just 10 minutes Sýkora slipped in big square and accidently played with hand. By given penalty equalised Stefanos Athanasiadis. After second goal, host team was more active, but without any chances. Before half time break Daniel Bartl took a free kick, but goalkeeper Glykos saved.
In the start of second half was Slovan way better and Folprecht was in chance, but he did not reach the ball right in front of the goal. On the other side had chances Tzavellas from free kick and Léos Matos with longshot, but both situation ended well for Liberec. Biggest chance of the second half had Komličenko, but his shot was stopped by post! Despite activity of Slovan, PAOK managed to turn the score, when precise cross of Leovac hit by head Stefanos Athanasadis. In last minutes, our players gave their best, but neither Vůch nor Hovorka did not equalise and our team had bad luck – in second match of group stage lost again PAOK Thessaloniki 1:2.
