Michael Rabušic - twice Slovan‘s top scorer
Michael Rabušic started this season as the sixth in a Liberec jersey. The thirty-two year old forward has played for several clubs, but scored his first league goals for Zbrojovka Brno. From there, he went to Ještěd, where he experienced probably his most successful seasons. In the 2011/2012 season he managed to score 11 goals and contributed significantly to winning the league title. In the next three seasons he expanded his goal account by 13 league goals and moved to Italy, specifically Verona. However, he didn‘t make a significant impact there and so his steps led back to Slovan in Liberec. There he was a guest for one season, followed by engagements in Jihlava, Haladás in Hungary and České Budějovice. Last season, however, we were able to welcome "Rambo" (as the Liberec striker is nicknamed) back to the U Nisy stadion.
Rabušic scored his 50th goal in the derby against Jablonec in the 23rd round of FORTUNA:LIGA, since then he has managed to extend his total to 52 league goals. Taking into account the goals numbered 51 and 52, which ended up in the net of Pardubice. Michael scored against 21 different teams (some of them are no longer active in the league). His "favourite" opponents are Slavia and Příbram, both of which he has scored five goals against. In his career, he has completed a hat-trick once, and that was against Příbram. Out of fifty goals Michael Rabušic scored seven from penalty kicks. He was Slovan‘s top scorer in the 2012/13 and 2020/21 seasons.
Jan Mikula - sixth season in Slovan
Our captain Mikula has earned his position in the club not only by his constant and good performances, but also by his hard work. The native of Havlíčkův Brod moved to Eden in his youth, but started his league career on loan at Jihlava, where he managed to play 13 games before moving back to Slavia in Prague. He spent two and a half seasons there, after which he moved to the U Nisy stadion. He is now in his sixth season in the Liberec jersey and has only played four matches as a substitute.
Mikula‘s 200th start was against Pardubice in the 21st round of FORTUNA:LIGA. Mikula played almost three quarters (147/200) of all league matches in a Liberec jersey. He originally came to Slovan as a right-back, but during his career he has also switched to the position of a stopper or winger when needed. Recently, he is most often seen "operating" on the left side of the defence. Mikula managed to collect 6 goals and 11 assists in 200 games, his sixth goal in the 200th game.
