Commentary
The game could have started amazingly for the visiting side as Josef Šural received the ball in a good position all alone inside the penalty area, but his low shot went just wide of the goal.
For the rest of the first half, it was Sparta who had the majority of chances and goalie Ondřej Kolář did well stopping all of those that went on goal. Some other opportunities concluded with the ball heading wide.
David Pavelka could open the second half by giving his team the lead, but his shot went just over the bar. On the other side, Costa had a wide-open net in 64th minute, but missed it as well.
And so a penalty kick decided the winner just ten minutes later after a questionable handball inside the Slovan penalty area. Bořek Dočkal did well capitalizing on the opportunity and scoring the game-winner. 1-0 the final.
