Commentary

Slovan had some decent chances in the first half. At first Sural fired a volley just a bit too high and then home goalkeeper Kozacik performed a great save to stop Bartosak’s attempt from inside the penalty area.

Then Coufal and Baranek suffered a tough hit during a mutual encounter in the air. Coufal was back on pitch only after a short treatment, but not so Baranek, who went straight to hospital.

In the second half, Heroldin Shala took his opportunity after Sural’s through ball and surprised home side with a goal effort from behind the box.

Plzen turned on with that conceded goal and Koubek had plenty of work late in the second half. He also saved two great chances by Hejda and Hrosovsky, but couldn’t do anything with Michal Duris’ close-range volley.

With four minutes left in regulation, Viktoria took the lead. A substitute Aidin Mahmutovic got the ball in the area and despite a sharp angle, he sniped it past Koubek and tipped the scales in home side’s favour.
