Commentary
The start of the match was quite a balanced affair, but it did not bring any great chances. Our biggest chance was Kamso Mara, who after a direct kick aimed at a sharp shot into the lower right corner. However, goalkeeper Bolek was on the lookout and neutralized the attempt. Our team then started to push more and the game continued to revolve mainly around the Karviná gate. After a series of passes, Beran could have passed into the goal chance, but his pass just missed the running Matoušek. After another direct kick, Mary hit the center, but his attempt flew too far to the left of the goal.
After our pressure, the game calmed down again and the players from Karviná also got into chances. But no one had a clear goal chance, most of the actions failed on a combination. After a fine move down the middle Mosquera nearly gave the home side a goal after 80 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. The rest of the half did not bring any major action and ended up without a goal.
The second half started in a similar style as the first half. Neither side was able to work out any good chances. After two direct kicks, we finally managed to break this statistic. With 55 minutes played, Mikula nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. His shot, however, hit the leg of Jhon Mosquera, who turned and sent the ball into the left side of the goal.
After our goal, Karviná had more of the game and we mainly defended. It often penetrated our 16-yard box and had several bullets and corners, but all chances were sooner or later eliminated. Pešek took a direct free kick toward the far post; however, no player in blue managed to reach the ball in time and Karviná players on the corner. Pešek got a big chance when he got alone in front of the goalkeeper after a long air pass. After a good elaboration, he hurried the finish and Bolek had his weak shot under control.
Santos from Karviná tried from a great distance and the attempt was not bad at all, but goalkeeper Nguyen managed to deal with it without any problems. Júsuf got into the escape shortly before the end, he tried to send a ground center to Mara, but unfortunately he flew too far. The turning point came a few seconds before the 91st minute. In front of the goal, stopper Šindelář received a pass and pushed Eduard Santos with a light lob, which he successfully completed. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
