Malinský had first attempt of the match after two minutes, but he missed the net. On the other side, there was a shot from Holzer, but Hladký was in the right place. Both teams were focusing on defense and their battles were in the air.
Slovan had a big chance after seventeen minutes from two standard situations, but neither of them was successful. More dangerous was Liberec in 29th minute as Malinský tried to hit further post, where was Potočný. Again, it was Laštůvka, who was the winner from this battle. After there was Mikula with his header, but even his attempt was not successful.
Baník had its first chance in 33rd minute. Holzer sent a sharp shot and Fillo even hit it and make it more dangerous. Unfortunately, for the visiting team – ball missed the net. Same picture of the play was seen also in the second half. The main difference was that chances were less accurate, so both goalkeepers did not need to show their skills. After the final whistle, the score was 0:0.
