Let’s dive into the whirlwind of numbers, this time we’ll skip the basic statistics that we’ve discussed in detail and focus on the details. Slovan kept the ball more often and longer in all zones of the field, in their own third for 11 minutes and 15 seconds, in the central zone for 11 minutes and 41 seconds and in the offensive half for 5 minutes and 5 seconds. The drop in offensive possession time is standard, it is not an aberration.
Both teams blocked two shots and both teams created two chances at the same time. According to the xG statistics, Slovan was closer to scoring (0.58 - 0.49), but no goal was expected to be scored. Our team had 70 positional attacks, 13 counterattacks and 10 direct free kicks, but not a single shot was taken.
At the same time, Luboš Kozel’s team made successful dribbles significantly more often (24 to 9), and Sigma attacked the ball much more (42–16 attempts). Let’s get to the popular fitness data. Both teams ran almost identical distances, the difference was only 26 meters (120 790 - 120 816). However, a significant difference separated the two teams in the number of meters run on offense and defense. The data shows that Olomouc was more likely to defend (45.4 kilometres on defence and 33.1 kilometres on offence), while Slovan had the opposite balance (35.4 kilometres on defence and 43.7 kilometres on offence).
The guest marathoner was Christian Frýdek, who was the only player of our team to run over 12 kilometres, to which he added 482 metres. Michal Fukala was the fastest on the field with an average speed of 7.8 kilometres per hour. He also had the fastest sprint, the statisticians measured his speed at 32.6 km/h.
Continuing with the distance run at the highest speed, Jan Matoušek ran the most (210) meters in the sprint. In this discipline, he found only one of the home team, Juraj Chvátal added 27 metres more. Gebre Selassie recorded the most individual runs in the top speed, sprinting a total of 95 times.
