This is our team for the 2023/24 season

Editors
Liberec - In comparison to previous years, not much has changed in the FC Slovan Liberec squad this summer. Many important players remained in the team, only a few painful departures had to be absorbed. This is the squad for the coming season.

Goalkeeper

Almost everything remained the same in the goalkeeper position. While Olivier Vliegen extended his contract with Slovan, Hugo Jan Bačkovský has now moved permanently from Sparta Prague to Liberec after his loan in pre-season. The third goalkeeper to start the new season will be Lukáš Hasalík, who was loaned to Třinec in pre-season. Young goalkeeper Lukáš Pešl is loaned to Varnsdorf to gain match practice.

Defender

In defence, we are strengthened by Matěj Chaluš, who is back with Slovan after 1.5 years in Sweden. New to the team is 19-year-old Belgian Milan Govaers, who was promoted from the B team. Slovan had to cope painfully with the injury-related career end of Theodor Gebre Selassie, who was captain in the pre-season. Also gone is Gigli Ndefe, who was on loan from Baník Ostrava.

We have retained young internationals Michal Fukala, Ondřej Lehoczki, Jan Mikula, Marios Pourzitidis, Filip Prebsl, who extended his loan from Slavia Prague for another year, and Dominik Preisler. Dominik Plechatý will also remain with the team, as his loan from Sparta has also been extended.

Midfield

There are some changes in the midfield. Karol Mészáros let his contract expire, Kristian Michal is loaned to Varnsdorf and Matěj Valenta´s loan from Slavia ended.

Nicolas Penner, who was signed permanently from Budejovice, is a newcomer. Jakub Hudák also joined the senior team from the B team. Lukáš Červ, Mohamed Doumbia, Christian Frýdek, Ahmad Ghali, Milan Lexa, Tomáš Polyák, Ivan Varfolomejev and Denis Višinský remain unchanged.

Striker

In attack, Imad Rondić left us, letting his contract expire after 3.5 years at Slovan. Victor Olatunji was signed permanently but moved to Sparta Prague. Matyáš Kozák´s loan from Sparta ended, while Dominik Gembický will be loaned to Varnsdorf next season.

Newcomers Filip Horský, who is on loan from Sparta, and Luka Kulenović, who moved to Liberec from Bosnia, are expected to provide goals. Michael Rabušic and Ľubomír Tupta have extended their contracts and will remain in the FC Slovan Liberec squad next season.
