Commentary
The match had a high pace from the very beginning and we managed to score the first goal. Jakub Pešek increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. Here Jhon Mosquera came on, who sent the ball into the net of the goalkeeper Hrušky. In the 11th minute, Mara sent a nice pass to Júsuf Hilál and from a relatively long distance fired a low shot just inside the left post, on which the Pilsen goalkeeper had no chance.
Three minutes later, Liberec began forechecking aggressively. After several exchanges, Beran got the ball and sent it into the penalty area. Jakub Hromada got to the pass and hit the middle of the goal with a low shot. From a promising distance, Yusuf kicked a direct kick after a foul on Mara. His shot just put the goal of Hruška on the corner.
In the 34th minute, the referee went to review the video and ordered a penalty for the previous Mosquera foul. Aleš Čermák took care of it and fired it into the upper right corner, making the scoreline 3-1 at halftime.
At the beginning of the second half, Slovan had a great chance in the 52nd minute, when Koscelník sent a nice pass to Pešek in front of the area. However, there was no recipient at Pešek's low centring pass in front of the goal. Another chance, which we worked out about two minutes later, resulted in a goal. On the right side to keep the ball Rabušic and moved to the middle of the subduing Mara, who poked a nice pass to Jhon Mosquera. He kept the ball safely and with a shot to the left side of the goal, beat the Pilsen keeper.
Mosquera didn't miss recording a hat-trick by much. Shortly after his second goal, he received an excellent pass from Beran right in front of the goalkeeper but, from a difficult angle, his bullet sailed too far to the left. After a series of corners, the Pilseners got to the shot, on the edge of the area Kovařík fired accurately and vigorously, but goalkeeper Nguyen made a great save.
At the end of the match, Viktoria were rather active, however. During a kick from the goalkeeper Hruška, the ball was almost seized by the running Matoušek. Kamso Mara also had a huge last chance, after a pass he ran alone to the goalkeeper in front of two defenders. His shot didn't hit the upper left corner at the last minute, and the final scoreline was 4-1.
