Slovan started a little more actively, with the first serious chance going to Matěj Hybš. He wanted to threaten Fryšťák with his weaker foot, but missed the goal. The Bohemians threatened after a long throw-in by Podaný, and Keita headed it into the arms of Nguyen. In the sixth minute, after a pass from Bartek, Hronek was lurking in front of the Liberec goalkeeper. Slovan were twice in dangerous situations, but Malinský misfired and then Hybš couldn’t handle the pass..

In the 27th minute, the home team wanted a penalty, but the main referee and the video judges found no wrongdoing and the match continued. At the end of the first half we witnessed tactical football, as neither side wanted to make a mistake. Just before halftime, the Kangaroos were more dangerous, first there was another long throw-in from Podaný and then a corner kick which seemed initially to produce the first goal of the match, but it didn’t cound due to offside..

In the second half, coach Hoftych made one change, as Alibekov playing with a yellow card was replaced by forward Petar Musa. In the 51th minute, Jan Vodháněl took the ball , went through several Liberec players and caught Nguyen with a shot inside the near post for a 1-0 Bohemians lead. At the other end, Malinský tried to shoot to the near side, just as he did against Sparta, but missed. After conceding the goal, Slovan began to attack more, but found the home defence hard to penetrate..

In the 70th minute, Slovan finally broke through, as Malinský passed into the area and found Oscar Murphy Dorley , who footed the ball behind Fryšťák to make it 1-1 . The home side quickly got an opportunity to regain the lead, but Nguyen made a great save off an Ugwu header. Three minutes before full time, Ugwu overtook Maru, and passed to Kacharabu. The Bohemians striker he was in alone against Nguyen and chose to pass to John Vodháněla , who scored the 2-1 goal. That turned out to be the winner, as Slovan couldn’t answer and left Prague without any points.
