Slovan played the second consecutive match in Czech capital Prague, this time at the stadium of Sparta Prague. In comparison to previous defeat against Dukla Prague (O:2) head coach Zsolt Hornyák made two changes in the starting line-up, Pázler and Malinský were replaced by Oršula and Hybš, while Milan Kerbr moved from left to the centre back.
It was not good start for Slovan. In the first two chances home team failed to score, but after 16 minutes Nicolae Stanciu opened the score with successful finish of his individual effort from the corner flag. Ten minutes later Sparta added the second, Benjamin Tetteh converted the Frýdek's low ball from the right wing. The same player scored another goal at 34th minute, when he curled an unstoppable shot into the far corner of Slovan's goal and Sparta led 3:0 at the halftime as the scoresheet has not been changed after the only chance of Slovan in the first half, Kacharaba's header was saved by home goalkeeper Florin Nita.
Shortly after the break Damjan Vuklišević was sent off after violent conduct against Benjamin Tetteh and Slovan continued with ten men on the pitch. Spectators have seen only few goal chances in the second half and despite Slovan was numerically wakened, Roman Potočný scored a nice goal from the set piece and consolidated the score to 1:3. However one minute later Sparta added their fourth goal, Nicolae Stanciu tapped in from outside of the box.
Slovan have lost 1:4 and after 9 games sit on the ninth place of Fortuna liga.
