The match didn’t start well for Slovan, conceding a goal in the third minute when Petr Mareš connected with a handsome shot from the right side. It was only a short time later, though, when Kuchta did not make it to the goalkeeper, but Gridar had a great shot on Malinský's cannon from the right side.
Our team continued its active performance and a penalty was imposed after Potočný was fouled by Shejbal in the area. The ball was set by Roman Potočný, who scored on a shot to the upper left corner.
Immediately afterwards, the Liberec keeper was busy again, and at the last moment, he knocked away another long-range shot from Mareš for a corner kick. At the end of the half, Slovan threatened. Baluta found a pass from Malinský right in front, but he was unable to respond in time and did not beat the arriving Breite.
Immediately after the break, the guests had a chance to work their way up. Kučera held the ball inside the area for a long time and finally fired. Nguyen and the defenders solved the situation when they got the ball on the corner kick. Slovan threatened to score in the 69th minute when Potočný's header went just wide of the post.
In the end, Jakub Pešek had two chances. On the first, he couldn’t finish his break towards Grigar and in the 87th minute, he set up a high pass for Musa, who just missed the header. The duel ended in a draw, 1-1.
