Commentary
Well-organized defense of the visiting team managed to keep FC Slovan offensive chances to a minimum and the fans in attendance had to wait until pretty late in the game for the opening goal.
With aggregate score of 3-1 in favor of Třinec, the home side needed at least a 2-0 win to advance to semifinals. The first step was made with 24 minutes left to play when Michal Breznaník fired a perfect shot to give his team a promising one-goal lead.
The dramatic finish had fans on their feet and with just two minutes left in the game, they could all cheer the second goal with David Pavelka collecting the rebound and doubling the lead. That was all they needed to get past Třinec. Mission passed, semis next.
