The visitors from Hradec Králové were looking to avoid relegation in this match as the loss would secure them one of the two bottom spots in the standings.

Twelve minutes in, however, FC Slovan took an early lead when the ball found the head of Miloš Karišik who redirected it into the back of the net.

Another twelve minutes later, Martin Frýdek fired one on goal, a rebound was given up and shoveled in past goalie by Josef Šural to make it 2-0 for Liberec.

The second half was more even and both teams came close to scoring, but none of the two goalkeepers let any balls in and so 2-0 was the final score.
