Slovan was quite under pressure for the match against Plzen. Even though the season is still young, under consideration of the former results, our team urgently needed to gain some points, as difficult as it might have been. The guest side didn't play their best season last year and no eager to get back to their level of the many years before when they regularly competed for the championship.

The first fifteen minutes were equal between both teams with the main action happening in the midfield. After that, however, the match more and more shifted in favour of Plzen but Slovan managed to stay even in the result until half time.

The start in the second half was similar to the first one. A nicely played standard piece by Janošek made the difference. His ball found our former player Mosquera in the danger zone. Even though Slovan keeper Knobloch was able to retain the ball from crossing the line, it was Radim Řezník who got it and this time it found the way into our net.

After that, the match turned wild with scoring opportunities on both sides but no more changes to the scoreboard and a final result of 0:1. Slovan stays last in the table with only one point out of four matches and only one single goal scored.
