Slovan defeated in rivalry match with Jablonec

FC Slovan entered the game with a great record from the last five, unbeaten over the span and winning three of the five. Also, they are historically more successful of the two clubs, especially head-to-head.

First half didn´t have many scoring chances, but one came early on for the home squad. Filip Novák passed the ball to Peter Greguš who fired a quick shot that was stopped beautifully by Lukáš Hroššo.

The second half had a horrible start for the visiting side, Luděk Pernica could open the scoring quickly if it wasn´t for another great save by Hroššo. Just a minute later though, Hroššo only slowed down the ball and the rebound was collected and converted by Jan Kopic.

Not long after that, the home team made it 2-0 when Martin Pospíšil got to the rebound of his own shot and gave Hroššo no chance at all. Slovan had its fair share of chances as well, the largest one coming after a great cross by Martin Frýdek towards Marek Bakoš who would have scored if it hadn´t been for a good save by the goalkeeper Vlastimil Hrubý.

Last minutes saw some defensive effort from the visiting squad, first Pernica tried to find the open net but could not as one of the defenders blocked the shot. During added time, Novák had a huge opportunity, but Lukáš Pokorný took the ball away from him at last second.
