Due to health problems, the key Liberec defender and former Czech representative Gebre Selassie remained on the bench.
After a quarter of an hour of play, Kratochvíl appeared in the first big chance, but he did not accomplish to beat the run-out goalkeeper Knobloch. Then Holík´s center from the right was knocked down by the Liberec captain Mikula on the pole.
Slovan struck a 30 meter free kick into the goal 37 minutes into the match. The Slovak winger Tupta enlisted among the shooters in the second round in a row.
